GENERAL » Welcome to Starry Night. While we don't have too many rules, please make sure you follow them. If you have any questions, we have a board made completely for them, here. Starry Night also runs by our maintenance board, so feel free to check it out!
» Respect should be given equally to everyone that comes to our site. No matter what rank they may be (staff, member, guest), please treat others how you wish to be treated. Kicking and screaming is neither a polite nor civil way of handling things. If something or someone has upset you on Starry Night and you wish for this to be taken care of, politely and civilly approach a staff member. Preferably message the main admin account so that it can be posted within our staff board and taken care of as speedily as possible.
CHARACTERS && APPROVAL » Until your character has been accepted by a staff member, please do not post anywhere within our forum. If it has taken more than a week to get back you you, please message the main admin account or politely any staff that is currently online. If you had posted a W.I.P. (working in progress) profile, you may not have posted in our completion notification thread! If not, please post there.
» Please have your display name the character's first and last name. You may have their first name a nickname if they are called by that name more than their actual one. Otherwise, please keep to that format. If you have any issues, please feel free to post in our questions board.
» Characters can be any gender, be it male, female, transgender, etc. We won't limit the creativity of our members, but please be respectful, once more.
» Make sure that you have filled out your profile completely and to your best abilities. While we aren't asking you to write a book, please make sure you have re-read the information you have written as spelling and grammar mistakes are easier to catch that way.
» To keep from losing your profile, please feel free to post a W.I.P. (working in progress) profile, especially if you don't have a program such as Word to save it on. Profiles shall never be deleted. If a character has gone inactive, profiles are simply moved behind the staff board in a Profile Archive.
» We are an anime face claim rpg. You may used drawn work as long as you have written permission and have asked the staff with a quote of that permission. If you have drawn your characters yourselves, that is also fine, but once again, message a staff member ahead of time.
» We have the limitation of four characters per member, but if you wish for more than it can easily be done! You just have to gain our staff council permission, which is easy as long as all four of your characters are active.
ACTIVITY » We do not wish to scare anyone off with our activity rules, but you must post at least a W.I.P. of your profile within a week or your account being deleted. Please keep with this rule. If you know your profiles take longer than a week, try to complete the profile within another program such as Word or perhaps within e-mail before joining. Once you are ready, feel free to hop aboard!
» You must post with your characters activity at least once every other week. That means you have to at least write a paragraph of a post every two weeks. That's easy, right? If you are ever having trouble, please feel free to post in our plot board or perhaps ask someone for advice.
» Post do not have to be long what-so-ever. Please note that with the way Starry Night is created, only IC (in character) posts will count towards your post count. These posts can be a few sentences long to a full out novel if that makes you more comfortable along with the roleplay partner.
